What is it?
Blown-in cellulose is a popular alternative to fiberglass insulation. Cellulose has almost twice the resistance to heat transfer as blown-in fiberglass with an R value of 3.8 per inch and won’t lose R-value (like fiberglass) on the coldest and hottest days – when you need it most. We use only Applegate® Brand stabilized cellulose – which means dust & settling is eliminated. Its loose but compacting nature creates a custom monolithic seal.

Cellulose insulation actually helps make homes safer by providing up to 50% better fire resistance than fiberglass. Applegate’s unique two stage process injects dry and liquid fire retardants to penetrate the cellulose fibers. From both a health and environmental perspective, cellulose is considered more ecologically sound than fiberglass which is classified as a carcinogen and contains formaldehyde.
